Dr. Mohd. Arshad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at IIT Indore.
Previously, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics and Operations Research at Aligarh Muslim University.
He earned his M.Sc. degree in Statistics with distinction from C.S.J.M. University Kanpur, followed by a Ph.D. in Statistics
from IIT Kanpur in November 2014 under the supervision of Professor Neeraj Misra.
Dr. Arshad's research spans various areas, including ranking and selection, copula modelling, statistical inference,
statistical decision theory, records and generalized order statistics and data science.
He has authored numerous papers in esteemed international journals,
supervised several Ph.D. and project students, and actively participates in editorial roles for journals and
is a member of scientific societies. With over ten years of teaching experience, he has contributed significantly
to undergraduate and postgraduate education. He has co-authored a book titled
Solutions to IIT JAM for Mathematical Statistics, and co-edited book
Distribution Theory: Principles and Applications.
