  1. Dr. Abhirup Datta is Science Co-Chair of International SKA CD/EoR Science Working Group from January, 2020.
  2. Dr. Abhirup Datta is now Senior Member, IEEE.
  3. Mr. Arnab Chakraborty and Mr. Sumanjit Chakraborty, PhD students of Dr. Abhirup Datta have been selected as URSI Young Scientist Award in Union Radio Scientifique Internationale (URSI) GASS 2021, Rome, Italy.
  4. Dr. Amit Shukla’s publication in Nature Communications: Shukla, A., Mannheim, K. Gamma-ray flares from relativistic magnetic reconnection in the jet of the quasar 3C 279. Nat Commun 11, 4176 (2020).
  5. Mr. Soumen Datta, Ph.D. student under Dr. Saurabh Das, has been awarded the prestigious URSI Young Scientist Award in Union Radio Scientifique Internationale (URSI) GASS 2020, Rome, Italy.

  10. Dr. Saurabh Das was awarded First prize in ‘Young Scientist award competition’ organized by Indian committee of URSI in Regional conference in Radio Science (RCRS), Pune, India in 2014. 
  11. Mr. Gourab Giri, PhD student of Dr. Bhargav Vaidya has been awarded with the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) in the year 2020.
  12. Dr. Bhargav Vaidya was awarded with the Max Planck India Partner group award from Max Planck Society (2019-2024)
  13. Dr. Bhargav Vaidya was awarded the IAU Travel Grant to attend the IAU Symposium 342  on “Perseus in Sicily: From black holes to cluster outskirts” at Noto, Italy May 13-18, 2018
  14. Dr. Bhargav Vaidya organized an international conference as Chair of the Scientific Organizing Committee titled “JETS 2021 – Extragalactic Jets on all three scales : Launching, Propagation and Termination” (June 14-18, 2021) along with Max Planck Institute for Astronomy as part of the Max Planck Partner Group Award.

  15. Dr. Bhargav Vaidya co-organized a workshop on “Computational Astrophysics: An Emerging Avenue for the Indian Astronomy Community” as part of the 39th ASI meeting, February 18-23, 2021.

  19. Dr. Suman Majumdar is a core member of the  SKA CD-EoR Science Working Group.

  24. Dr. Suman Majumdar and Dr. Abhirup Datta received SPARC funding (2019-2022) for a bilateral collaborative research project with Stockholm University and Uppsala University, Sweden.
  25. Dr. Suman Majumdar received ASEM-DUO India Fellowship (2020-2021) for a bilateral collaborative research project with Stockholm University, Sweden.
  26. Dr. Suman Majumdar organized (as the main organizer) an international conference and workshop at IIT Indore titled ‘Observing the First Billion Years of the Universe using the Next Generation Telescopes’, (20-31 January 2020), sponsored by a SPARC project and SKA-India consortium of institutes.
