Biosketch
Dr. Bhupesh Kumar Lad is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Govt. Engineering College Bilaspur (GEC Bilaspur) and later did his masters in Industrial Engineering and Management from Govt. Engineering College Ujjain (UEC Ujjain). Subsequently, he completed his Ph.D. in the area of Reliability Engineering from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD). Before joining IIT Indore he was working with GE global research center, Bangalore as a research engineer. His research interests are: Smart Manufacturing, Reliability Engineering, Prognostics, Distributed Operations Planning. Dr. Bhupesh Kr. Lad is also a Regional Editor (South Asia) of International Journal of Performability Engineering (IJPE). He has published several research articles in national and international journals and conferences of repute. He has recently published one book on “Machine Tool Reliability”.
