HYBRID NANODEVICE RESEARCH GROUP (HNRG)

The Hybrid Nanodevice Research Group (HNRG) led by Prof. Shaibal Mukherjee in Electrical Engineering at IIT Indore explores new physics of micro- and nano-structured materials, and to apply this knowledge in realizing advanced devices and systems for chemical, biological, optical, electronic and energy applications.

HNRG has been actively involved in diverse research domains including design, fabrication, testing, and packaging of high-performance devices in: (a) RRAM/Artifical Neurons, (b) Photovoltaic, (c) Biochemical sensors to detect toxic gases and chemicals in the environment, (d) HFETs/HEMTs for high-power and high-frequency systems, (e) LED/Photodetectors.

HNRG has strong collaboration with industries and academia in India and in the USA, Saudi Arabia, Russia, France, Portugal, Israel, Italy, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, and Germany.

Former PhD students after doing their doctoral research work from HNRG are successfully placed in in IITs, NITs, IIIT, IISc, SNU, and Japan.
