First time in the history of Team Engines and Demons, we tried to Design most of the parts of the BAJA Vehicle by ourselves with minimum OEM parts. We focused on optimization with Weight reduction and we were able to achieve Weight reduction to the half than the previous years' vehicle.
Ours was the lightest vehicle at BAJA SAE INDIA Ropar 2018 with the total weight of 138 kg. Leap of 3 years was taken in comparison of other teams in terms of Number of Design Changes incorporated.
Though due to lack of some technical issues, we were not able to pass Safety Scrutiny, we managed to achieve overall 28th Rank with just Static events. We got a lot of experience in terms of design and Manufacturing of optimized vehicle, and now with the experience gained we are ready to fight for our pride.
