Our group uses experiments and analytical theory to explore the materials-processing-structure-property relationships in structural metallic materials and energy materials and their development for required engineering application, with particular emphasis on the role of structural disorder and its effect on environmental degradation and mechanical properties. Our research also involves in non-equilibrium processing for development of energy materials and high entropy alloys of industrial relevance using variety of tools as well as in developing new metal-matrix composites. We work on various metallic materials related issues in Industry, pertaining to metals, alloys, and composites used in general materials processing, transport sector (automotive, railways, and aerospace), defense, gas and oil pipeline industry. We also deliver lectures and short courses for Industry on various topics related to quality training (TS16949 and ISOs), Materials development, processing and characterization, failure analysis.
