{"id":1091,"date":"2023-02-23T05:14:40","date_gmt":"2023-02-22T23:44:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/people.iiti.ac.in\/~aks\/?p=1091"},"modified":"2023-07-11T17:00:04","modified_gmt":"2023-07-11T11:30:04","slug":"new-paper-in-dalton-transactions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/people.iiti.ac.in\/~aks\/new-paper-in-dalton-transactions\/","title":{"rendered":"New paper in\u00a0Dalton Transactions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Our paper entitled \u201cBase-free synthesis of benchtop stable Ru(III)-NHC complexes from RuCl<sub>3<\/sub>\u00b73H<sub>2<\/sub>O and their use as precursors for Ru(II)-NHC complexes\u201d has been published in Dalton Transactions (DOI: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1039\/D3DT00243H\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1039\/D3DT00243H<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this paper, a series of Ru(III)-PyNHC complexes (<strong>1a-c<\/strong>), have been reported, prepared from simple starting materials via a base-free route, where the Lewis acidic Ru(III) centre operates via a halide-assisted, electrophilic C-H activation of azolium salts, <strong>L<sup>1-3<\/sup>\u00b7HI<\/strong>. Complexes <strong>1a-c<\/strong> have been shown as excellent metal precursors for new Ru<sup>II<\/sup>(PyNHC<sup>R<\/sup>)(Cl)<sub>2<\/sub>(PPh<sub>3<\/sub>)<sub>2<\/sub> (<strong>2a-c<\/strong>) and [Ru<sup>II<\/sup>(PyNHC<sup>R<\/sup>)(CNC<sup>Me<\/sup>)I]PF<sub>6<\/sub> (<strong>3a-c<\/strong>) complexes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations to Nida for her first paper from her PhD thesis work!
