{"id":1142,"date":"2023-06-30T16:52:00","date_gmt":"2023-06-30T11:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/people.iiti.ac.in\/~aks\/?p=1142"},"modified":"2023-07-11T17:31:35","modified_gmt":"2023-07-11T12:01:35","slug":"paper-in-chemistry-a-european-journal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/people.iiti.ac.in\/~aks\/paper-in-chemistry-a-european-journal\/","title":{"rendered":"Paper in Chemistry\u2014A European Journal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Our paper entitled \u201c<em>Ru(II) Complexes with Protic- and Anionic-Naked-NHC Ligands for Cooperative Activation of Small Molecules<\/em>\u201d has been published in Chemistry\u2014A European Journal (DOI: <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1002\/chem.202301971\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1002\/chem.202301971<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this paper, a set of ruthenium(II)-protic-N-heterocyclic carbene complexes, [Ru(NNC<sup>H<\/sup>)(PPh<sub>3<\/sub>)<sub>2<\/sub>(X)]Cl (<strong>1<\/strong>, X=Cl and <strong>2<\/strong>, X=H) and their deprotonated analogues [Ru(NNC)(PPh<sub>3<\/sub>)<sub>2<\/sub>(X)] (<strong>1\u02b9<\/strong>, X=Cl and <strong>2\u02b9<\/strong>,X=H) are reported. Complex <strong>1\u02b9<\/strong> activates H-H bond of hydrogen, C(sp<sup>3<\/sup>)-I bond of iodomethane, and C(sp)-H bond of phenylacetylene. The activation of CO<sub>2<\/sub> using complex <strong>1\u02b9<\/strong> at moderate temperature and subsequent conversion to formate is also described.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations to Shambhu for his first paper from PhD thesis work!
