{"id":430,"date":"2018-08-12T15:08:22","date_gmt":"2018-08-12T15:08:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/people.iiti.ac.in\/~aks\/?p=430"},"modified":"2018-08-12T15:08:22","modified_gmt":"2018-08-12T15:08:22","slug":"advertisement-for-junior-research-fellow-jrf-position","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/people.iiti.ac.in\/~aks\/advertisement-for-junior-research-fellow-jrf-position\/","title":{"rendered":"Advertisement for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Position"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in a SERB funded project titled <strong>\u201cDesigning Bimetallic Complexes with Cooperative Metal-Metal Interactions for the Multi-electron Reduction of Small Molecules\u201d<\/strong>. <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Objective:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Synthesis of new bifunctional pincer ligands with disparate metal binding sites&nbsp;which are selective towards different metal ions.<\/li>\n<li>Study of complexation of the new ligands with transition metals. Complete characterisation&nbsp;of new metal complexes with usual spectroscopic methods (IR, UV-Vis, NMR, Mass, etc.) and single crystal X-ray diffraction studies.<\/li>\n<li>Investigation of reactivity of new metal complexes towards small molecules and catalytic applications in suitable reactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualification:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><u>Essential Qualification:<\/u> <\/em>M.Sc. in Chemistry with valid CSIR-UGC NET or GATE score.<\/p>\n<p><em><u>Desirable Qualification:<\/u> <\/em>Candidates with prior research experience can be given preference.<\/p>\n<p>For more details, please read the <a href=\"http:\/\/people.iiti.ac.in\/~aks\/wp1\/wp-content\/uploads\/JRF_Adv_Aug2018.pdf\">advertisement<\/a>.
