The research work authored by Omkar V. Rambadey, PhD student at Materials Research Lab IITI, advocates a bridge between optical and Raman spectroscopy techniques, wherein the interrelation between two parameters, namely, Urbach energy (~related to Optical absorption) and asymmetry parameter (~ related to Raman lineshape), has been derived followed by experimental verification.
