The 3rd ALICE-India School
on
Quark-Gluon Plasma-2020

November 05-20, 2020
Indian Institute of Technology Indore

About the School

The 2020 ALICE-India school is the 3rd in the series of such schools organised by ALICE-India Collaboration. Given the present pandemic situation, this time, the school will be held in Virtual mode moderated/hosted by the ALICE-IIT Indore group at Indian Institute of Technology Indore, India, during 05-20 November 2020. The primary aim of the school is to provide pre-requisite knowledge for carrying out physics analysis in the ALICE experiment at the LHC and the basic concepts on various topics related to Experimental High Energy Physics (EHEP). In addition, the school will also focus on exciting advanced topics like Machine Learning, Event generators, ALICE Detector systems, Particle Identification in High energy Physics, while exposing the next generation scientists to the physics at the frontiers of high-energy and high-luminosity. The school aims at doctoral students in their early careers of research in the field of high-energy nuclear physics. The school provides a sixteen-day training course in the various key concepts and techniques used in EHEP via a series of lectures, tutorial sessions, and discussions with the speakers invited from various reputed Institutes and Universities across the country.
