Professor Dhinakaran Shanmugam is a distinguished academic and researcher specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer. Currently a Professor and Head in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Indore, Prof. Shanmugam has significantly advanced both education and research in his field. He completed his Ph.D. at IIT Kharagpur in 2008 and has held several post-doctoral positions in esteemed institutions across Europe, including Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour in France and Universidade do Minho in Portugal. His research focuses on flow and heat transfer in porous media, non-Newtonian fluid mechanics, bluff body flows, nanofluids, and biofluid mechanics.
