Bio Sketch
Vipul Singh was born in Siwan district in Bihar, India in the year 1979. He obtained his Bachelor degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering (now, Delhi Technological University) in the year 2003. He then moved to Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan to pursue his Masters degree. He further continued his doctoral research work under Prof. Keiichi Kaneto of Department of Biological Functions and Engineering at Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan. Most of his doctoral work was based on study of interface related effects in conducting polymer based organic optoelectronic devices. His interest in the area of organic electronics ranges from device applications viz. Organic Field Effect Transistors (OFETs), Organic Solar Cells (OSCs) and Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) to the study of charge carrier transport or photo carrier generation in various organic materials. After finishing his Ph.D. degree in March 2009, From April 2009 to November 2010, he worked as a scientific researcher at Nanosystems integration laboratory, Research Institute of Electronics, Shizuoka University, Japan, where he studied MOSFET based Single electron Transistors/ devices. Since then he has also been interested in Bulk/SOI technologies and has also studied and reduced low frequency noise occurring in these devices due to interface traps both at room and cryogenic temperatures. Since November 2010 he has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore. Later in June 2016, he joined as an Associate Professor in the Discipline of Electrical Engineering, IIT Indore and is presently working at the same designation. Lately his research interst includes nanostructured growth of oxide semiconductors, Nanoparticle synthesis, Pulsed laser ablation, Local surface plasmon resonance (LSPR), hydrothermal and sol gel techniques, hybrid photodetectors, photoconductive devices, piezoelectric generators, energy harvesting devices and biosensors.
