


Dr. Saptarshi Ghosh received his B.E. degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Bengal Engineering and Science University (currently IIEST), Shibpur in 2009. He completed his M.Tech. and Ph.D. from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, in 2013 and 2017, respectively. He subsequently worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Chung-Ang University, South Korea, from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, he joined Indian Institute of Technology Indore as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, and has been serving as an Associate Professor since 2024.
Dr. Ghosh is the recipient of numerous national and international awards, including the IEEE AWPL Outstanding Associate Editor (2026), Raj Mittra Travel Grant (2025), YFRF Fellowship from MeitY (2025), INAE Young Engineer Award (2022), IETE-IRSI (83) Young Scientist Award (2022), Motohisa Kanda Award (2022), URSI AP-RASC Young Scientist Award (2018 & 2022), MIF Fellowship, Japan (2020), INAE Young Innovative Student Projects Award (2018), and the Academic Excellence Award (2013). He has also received several Best Paper Awards at national and international conferences and Outstanding Reviewer Awards from multiple IEEE journals during 2018–2020. Since January 2021, he has been serving as an Associate Editor of IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters.
Research scholars supervised by Dr. Ghosh have received several prestigious recognitions, including the Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF), IEEE AP-S Fellowships, international travel grants, Young Scientist Awards, and multiple Best Paper Awards. Dr. Ghosh and his research group have authored and co-authored over 80 peer-reviewed journal articles, 120 conference publications, and 2 granted patents. His research interests include frequency selective surfaces (FSS), microwave absorbers, electromagnetic metamaterials, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), and other periodic electromagnetic structures for next-generation wireless communication, sensing, and stealth applications.
