Lab Discription:

The Stochastic Control Lab, IIT Indore is led by Dr. Abhinoy Kumar Singh. The lab focuses on developing new estimation and filtering algorithms and implementing them for several practical problems. On the algorithm development side, the lab is focusing on tackling the problems of several uncertainties in measurements, e.g., delayed measurements, missing measurements and non-Gaussian noise components in measurements. The conventional filtering algorithms are developed by ignoring such uncertainties and suffer from poor estimation accuracy in many cases. Towards dealing with practical problems using estimation and filtering algorithms, the lab is focused on developing Kalman filter based continuous glucose monitoring algorithms to ease the treatment of type 1 diabetes problems. The lab is also working on developing advanced drones with the application of linear and nonlinear Kalman filtering.
