Functional Magnetic Nano-Materials

what image shows

In this study, our aim is to develop the CoxFe3-xO4, CoPt, FePt core and Co/Pt, Fe/Pt core/shell magnetic materials for next generation energy assisted magnetic recording media. To achieve the high performance magnetic materials and their devices, we need to controlling the shape, size and morphology of the nanostructures are essential. We have synthesised the CoFe2O4 nanoparticles in our laboratory with controllable shape, size and morphology. For this purpose, nanostructures of current are thoroughly investigated using advanced analytical techniques such as Scanning electron microscopy and superconducting quantum interference device. We observed that Hc at 300 K reaches 1.47 KOe and Ms reached 58.93 emu/g for as-synthesised without annealing sample and 1.86 KOe, 58.84 emu/g for the annealed sample (5000C) for pure CoFe2O4 nanoparticles, such a high coercivity as well as magnetization both at room temperature has not been observed in previous reports up to our best knowledge.
